Public Engagement Opportunities
The BC Government is currently offering two citizen engagement opportunities that may impact private managed forest land operations. Engagement opportunities are a chance to input into government policy and legislation decisions.
Watershed Security Strategy
The Province of British Columbia is inviting feedback on an Intentions Paper for the Watershed Security Strategy and Fund. The Intentions Paper is the mid-way point in the development of the Strategy and Fund and builds on what was heard during the first period of engagement in early 2022.The purpose of the Strategy and Fund is to lead the changes needed to create a future for B.C. where our watersheds are better cared for and stewarded together.
Timeline: March 6, 2023 to April 17, 2023
Coastal Marine Strategy
The Province is committed to developing a coast-wide strategy to address the health and stewardship of marine ecosystems and resilience of coastal communities.
The Province is inviting feedback and suggestions on an Intentions Paper that outlines potential solutions and policies that the Province can implement to achieve better outcomes for marine life and people. All input will help inform development of the Coastal Marine Strategy.
